Open Grid is a street furniture system that creates a variety of functions and scenarios in the public domain.

No more to rows of benches that conform to the street's structure, but instead an open infrastructure that restores the ownership over the public spaces to the people and allows the people to create within them.

This new infrastructure raises questions about our perception of private vs. public and examines the line between the two. Whilst the bench is fixed to the ground and defines the general "boundaries" of the space, the chair remains "free" in its essence, existing independently or as a completing element to the bench's surroundings.
